We went to Boston

Thanksgiving this year was spent in Barrington, Rhode Island. Bryce got to go on his very first airplane - and he did great! The only thing that bothers that boy is running low on juice in his sippy cup! During our visit to the North - Danny and I went to Boston for a day. We did the touristy things... Quincy Market, Boston Tea Party, and some getting lost downtown. The roads do not have any reasonable layout. None. I was trying to take in all the sites and neglected the map. Needless to say, we ended up at Harvard due to my inability to measure distances. I am sure that is how most people get there.
We had a great time with our family over the break! I didn't get any pics of everyone, but Dobbie, PopPop, Pam, Heath, Courtney, Aubrey and Collin were all there with the three of us for a week! Courtney is Danny's sister - who lives in Barrington. Last year we went to Florida. It was cold. This year we went to Rhode Island. It was cold. Maybe we can figure something out for warmer weather next year. Or, maybe I will just get over it and buy a warmer coat. Either way, we are so blessed to have such a great family. Bryce certainly fell right in to place with his yankee cousins. We sure do wish they lived closer. And, if I can get any pics uploaded from Danny's mom, then I will post them, too. I think she got some pretty good ones...

Low on juice.
These are not real ducks. And, that is not my child. We just thought that it was cute to see some kid playing on the fake ducks.
Lots of stores... there is even a Cheers Bar. I, however, neglected to bring along my wallet, so I couldn't even go into a bar without my id.

That is me in the distance - the one standing. I don't know the man on the bench. He was yelling to some other guy. I tried to stay away.

This is the start of the red line that takes you to all of the touristy places downtown. And those are Danny's size 12s in brown. Not mine.

I think you can figure this one out...

This is me in front of our super cool sweet ride mini van. Danny felt so cool driving that thing around. I felt like a grown-up. We are way too young to need something so practical, right???

Smart people at Harvard.

Danny and Bryce playing during our layover in DC. I love my boys!

A bunch of Prestages

Bryce loves to pose for the camera!

Pop Pop, Cousin Emma, and Bryce

A bunch of Prestages looking at a lake.
Swinging - no, I did not fit in the toddler swing. That didn't stop me from trying, though.

Me, Pam, Carolyn, and Ruth - all Prestages

Pop Pop and Bryce - his sweet little hand just grabbed onto his grandfather's finger. So sweet.

Bryce and Annie hanging out in the Grove. We did not pose these pictures!

Bryce tried to get Annie to get up and go play with him. He didn't want her to miss any of the fun!

Bryce just wanted to be close...

Monkeys love Pumpkins

In an attempt to be creative, I decided to make Bryce's Halloween costume this year. I figure he will not let me choose his costume for him in the years to come, so I picked an adorable monkey costume for his very first Halloween (last year he was too small to go out trick or treating, so we didn't dress up).
This past week has been quite interesting. Bryce had his first ever ear infection, which was no problem to him. However, the antibiotic was a pain - side affects are not so much fun. Ok, so it wasn't actually interesting. In fact, it was the opposite. We stayed inside most of the week so we could go to Averi's birthday party on Friday night.
Rina and Allen put on quite a birthday bash for Averi's second birthday. There were tons of people, more food than I could even imagine, and lots and lots of costumes. Averi's blog has some great pics of her costume - but I forgot to get any pics of her. She was a very sweet peacock. But, since she can walk around on her own, Bryce didn't get his hands on her the way he did Maggie.
When the Oxford family arrived at the party, Bryce went straight to Emily. Then, he decided he needed to hold Maggie. No, I didn't say "want", I said "need". He was desperate to hold her. He whined, he begged, and he finally got his way. Maggie was given lots of lovin. And, when she left, he helped John carry her to the car in her carrier. What a gentleman!!!

Bryce trying to lift the carrier with Maggie in it!

MMMMM.... Candy.....

Can you see how much he NEEDS to hold her???

Monday Night Cooking

My mom and I went to a cooking demonstration at my church last night - and I just thought you all needed to check this guy out! Robert St. John is a Hattiesburg native who cooks, owns restaurants, and writes cook books. I already owned some of his cookbooks, so I was familiar with his writing, but I found out he also has a column in the Sunday paper. For those of you who love Southern food (that means all of you!!!), please check out his website and blog. He is listed on my blog as Nobodys Poet. He has a great message of bringing family and faith into the kitchen. And, if you want to come over and eat dinner sometime, you may get to try some of his recipes...

Pumpkin Pics

Bryce is always busy...

He loved the funny looking, darker pumpkins!

I love Bryce!

Bryce and Averi - how cute!!!

The kids were tired after we forced them to pose for the camera so much!

Pumpkin Day

We went to Oxford today to get some pictures of Bryce and Averi at the pumpkin patch on the square. Rina, Allen, Danny, Averi, Bryce and I all piled into the Expedition to eat some lunch and take some pictures. Aunt Pam, Ellen and her friend from school met us, as well as my mom, GG. I took 109 pictures, so I am still trying to pick out the ones I want to post. No, it's not that they are all that good - it's that they are all so blurry. Imagine trying to get a 16 month old and a 23 month old to stay still for a picture. Not as easy as I thought it would be...
To see some of the pics, click on the Coleman's page.
By the way, I had such a good birthday last week. I am now 28 years old, although Danny says I may as well be 30. I got lots of goodies for my birthday - but I would have to say that there were some highlights that must be mentioned. Some of my dear girlfriends took me to eat some mexican food - complete with a cookie cake for dessert. I was hit in the face with a plate of whipped cream. Yes, there are pictures. No, I am not posting them. Also, Danny took me to dinner and then to the Tupelo fair. Now, to some, this may sound horrible. But, to me, it was the best birthday gift ever! When I was a kiddo in Jackson, we always got to go to the fair for my birthday. It is loud, stinky, and the carnies are scary - but the fair holds a special place in my heart. So, thanks to all you friends who called, emailed, texted, and hung out. I had a wonderful birthday!

Our Family and Friends in the Grove

Last weekend was truly a homecoming for us! Our best friends came to visit from Nashville, and we went to the Grove to eat, drink and be merry. For anyone who has never been, the Grove is not easy to describe. The feeling of the hot, hot sun early in the morning... the smell of sausage balls... the taste of mimosas and bloody marys... hugs from old friends... judging horrible outfits on girls as they walk by... looking around our tent and knowing that it just feels right. We love our school and the Grove. Mostly we just love Oxford. I can't imagine a better way to spend a Saturday than in the Grove.

Wes and Susannah. I just don't have enough adjectives for them. Love them!

Cathy on the phone with her twin sister, Dobbie. We missed Dobbie and Pop Pop this weekend. I know they wish they could have come!
Alison and Bryce. They really like to cuddle.
Johnny and Bryce. Let's just say that Bryce got away with no pants and no shoes - and came back looking like this. He was so proud of himself!
Bryce and Annie. They don't know it yet, but they are betrothed. Trust us, we are your parents!
Alison and Taylor (the state fan). We are so lucky to have them in Tupelo!
Anna Kathryn came all the way from Texas and Heath came all the way from Rhode Island to see us! It was so much fun catching up with our fam!
Aunt Ruth didn't even see Danny or me or anyone else for that matter. She only came to see Bryce. And, he was loving on her big time!
Bryce and Annie are having a big time getting to know each other!
Danny is telling ANNY about his son. He is going to be a great father-in-law!
Kristi and I eating lots and lots of food. We had so much fun - Kristi is my partner in crime.

Breakfast Club

Most Friday mornings, Bryce and I drag ourselves out of the house to meet some friends for breakfast. Sometimes our group is large - we once had to leave the private meeting room for more space. Other times, our group is small. Last Friday morning, we had four moms and four kids. I believe everyone had fun - especially Bryce - he decided that he should bite the tip off of Emma's green marker. Yes, teeth do look scary when green. Just glad he had on a green shirt, too.
Now, I know everyone does not get up and put on make-up and nice clothes for breakfast. Our group is no exception. I apologize to those of you who may not love your posted pictures. And, I am so happy I am not in any pictures, as I was looking lovely Friday morning, too!

Emma loves to hug. Sometimes she loves to hug really hard.
This is before the marker bite. And, surprisingly, after eating breakfast.
Amy and Sam. He is one of our only other men in the group. And, he is hilarious! I love Sam!
Emily and Maggie. I wish I had a shot of her bunny ears - they were so cute!
Emma's mom, Amy. Also, my inspiration to attend Buns and Abs. She is awesome! We really sweat it out together... no, no pictures from the gym!

Go Rebels!!!

We love our Rebels! These pics are from the last home game against Vandy. We didn't win the game, but we sure had fun anyway! And, after beating Florida last weekend - we have a renewed faith in the team! Next weekend against South Carolina will be lots of fun!!!
Pop Pop bought Bryce a football for the Grove. He had so much fun throwing and chasing the ball!!! And, Bryce taught Pop Pop how to impress cheerleaders - just do a little dance and shake it!
Bryce and his Daddy - the only way to tell them apart is that Danny is taller.
Cute family!
Best hugger ever!!!
